LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – The staff at The Animal Foundation provided an update on the condition of dozens of animals rescued from a hoarding situation last week. Dogs, guinea pigs, and rabbits were all recovering when 8 News Now spoke with the shelter’s chief executive officer about their care. “It’s tragic,” Lieutenant Thomas Healing of Boulder City Police said. “Any case of animal abuse is terrible.”

At the end of March 2024, The Animal Foundation took in 88 animals from a hoarding situation in our community. Among them are dogs, guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, a rabbit, and even a few tortoises. Our top priority is ensuring these animals receive the care they deserve. Our dedicated team is working to ensure these animals are safe, properly housed, and receiving the necessary medical attention.
