88 animals arrive at The Animal Foundation from hoarding situation
At the end of March 2024, The Animal Foundation took in 88 animals from a hoarding situation in our community.
Among them are dogs, guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, a rabbit, and even a few tortoises. Being able to take in these animals is part of the reason we’re here as the public shelter.
The investigation is ongoing with Las Vegas Metro Police, Clark County Animal Protection Services, and the City of Las Vegas Animal Protection Services.
Our top priority is ensuring these animals receive the care they deserve. Our dedicated team is working to ensure these animals are safe, properly housed, and receiving the necessary medical attention. Most of the dogs are filthy and matted, and they’re already in the process of being groomed.
It’s heartbreaking when you see animals in this condition, but our incredible staff is determined to help them recover. When we see animals get well and get adopted, that’s the magic of it. That makes the heart happy, and that’s why we’re all here.
If you’re interested in helping, monetary donations are appreciated.

Thank you for your continued support – together, we're making a difference in the lives of animals in Las Vegas.
