$2,850 Grant from the ASPCA to Help Fund 2018 Subaru Loves Pets Adoption and Donation Drive

Grant will support The Animal Foundation’s participation in October 12 event

Las Vegas – The Animal Foundation has received a grant for $2,825 from the ASPCA® (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®), the first animal welfare organization in North America, to support its participation in the Subaru Loves Pets adoption and donation drive on-site at Subaru Las Vegas on Friday, October 12, 2018. Thanks to this grant, The Animal Foundation will be able to cover the costs for getting a minimum of ten shelter dogs prepared for adoption, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations and microchipping, as well as the cost for waiving adoption fees at the event. In addition, the grant helps to cover the costs associated with transporting dogs and staffing the event, the second such event in partnership with Subaru Las Vegas.

“The ASPCA and Subaru Las Vegas have been great supporters of our mission to save the lives of all healthy and treatable animals who come into our care,” said Daniel Neel, Chief Finance and Development Officer for The Animal Foundation. “The Subaru Loves Pets Adoption and Donation Drive on October 12 will be another fantastic opportunity to find forever homes for some of our shelter pets and to also collect much-needed supplies and donation items.”

The Subaru Loves Pets Adoption and Donation Drive will take place at Subaru Las Vegas at 6455 West Roy Horn Way in Las Vegas from 7:00am to 6:30pm on Friday, October 12.

Operating as the Nevada’s largest open-admission animal shelter, The Animal Foundation provides refuge and healthcare for thousands of helpless animals annually, saving as many as 25,000 pets in 2017. The Animal Foundation is open daily from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. For more information and to view adoptable pets, please visit animalfoundation.com.
