The Animal Foundation Uses Bubbles to Help Relieve Animal Stress
On October 4, 2018, KTNV-TV Channel 13 (ABC) reported on how The Animal Foundation is using bubbles as a form of enrichment for dogs at the shelter. Like other forms of enrichment used by The Animal Foundation, bubbles help to create a temporary distraction that helps to relieve stress. Shelter staff administer the bubbles to the dogs in their kennels several times a week. Cats at the shelter also receive bubbles therapy to help alleviate their stress. Animal enrichment is a very important tool to enhancing the quality of life for shelter animals by providing the environmental stimuli necessary for optimal psychological and physiological well-being.
