The Animal Foundation Introduces New Short-Term Fostering Opportunities for Dogs
On August 10, 2018, KSNV-TV Channel 3 (NBC) reported on how new short-term fostering opportunities can help to relieve shelter stress by getting dogs out of the kennel for a day, overnight or weekend. The Animal Foundation’s Foster Coordinator Alec Petronsky says that fostering for any length of time helps to improve the mental well-being of dogs. Short-term fostering also helps to give dogs the love and socialization that they need and make sure that they are seen by more potential adopters. If someone can’t give all their time and energy to adopting a dog, then fostering might be the perfect fit. Prospective fosters may apply online.
