Raquel Camarena’s two dogs started escaping when they found a ripped in her fence and dug underneath it. Each time they ended up at The Animal Foundation. Luckily, The Animal Foundation has a program to help pet owners overcome obstacles to keeping their pets they were able to find a solution for Camarena.
Sometimes, KEPPT helps with food or free training. This time, they helped fix Camarena's fence. It took Julio Mejia and another worker from The Animal Foundation four hours to fix the fence, despite neither having experience building or fixing fences. Mejia told Channel 3 that The Animal Foundation has kept 360 dogs out of the shelter and in loving homes so far this year, all thanks to the KEPPT program.
