Brandy's surgery was a success!

Brandy’s surgery was a success, and she is now ready to go home with a foster family!

Brandy needed surgery to fix her dislocated leg bone. The cost of the surgery was high, and she will need additional follow-up care until she’s completely healed.

Thank you to everyone who donated to Brandy’s care. Because of your support, Brandy was able to get the surgery she needed. From all of us at The Animal Foundation, we truly thank you. We couldn’t have done it without you.

If you are interested in fostering Brandy, please email foster@animalfoundation.com. She will need a foster for 8 weeks while she continues to heal. Brandy's ID# is A1250495.

Brandy needs your help.

Brandy came to The Animal Foundation Tuesday night scared and in pain with a dislocated bone in her leg. Brandy desperately needs our help.

Two-year-old Brandy was brought in by Animal Protection Services after officers received a call about an abandoned dog. Officers arrived to find Brandy abandoned, cold, and tied to a chain link fence.

Our veterinary team quickly treated Brandy’s pain with medication, and x-rays confirmed a dislocated leg bone. She also has an open wound, which will make her injury more difficult to treat.

Even though sweet Brandy can’t use her leg, she’s trying to prove to everyone that she is okay by giving out gentle kisses. This affectionate girl just wants love.

As part of her ongoing care, Brandy will need additional x-rays and ultimately physical therapy; she may even need orthopedic surgery.

We don’t have all the details of what happened to Brandy, but we do know that she deserves the specialized care she needs to run and play like any happy and healthy dog. But the cost of Brandy’s care is high.

That’s where you come in. We need your help.

Please consider donating today to help us ensure that Brandy gets the second chance she deserves.

We established our CARE Fund for animals who need special care in extreme circumstances. 100% of all donations go directly to medical care for animals like Brandy who desperately need us. Become a CAREgiver for Brandy by donating below.
