Aubrey arrived at The Animal Foundation with an infected wound on her side.

Look at that smile!
Sweet little Aubrey is now happy and comfy in her foster home, getting lots of TLC. Her wonderful foster is keeping her calm and making sure her incision stays clean and dry.
Aubrey had surgery at the shelter to close her wound, and she’ll return next week to have her sutures removed. As long as everything stays clean and infection-free, she’ll be good as new!
You might remember that Aubrey came to us in a plastic bin with a makeshift cone and a massive, infected wound on her side. She was trembling and lethargic, but our veterinary team stepped in to clean her up and manage her pain.
Thanks to all of you who donated and supported her care, Aubrey got the surgery she needed. Your generosity gave her the second chance she deserves.

Little Aubrey arrived at The Animal Foundation in a large plastic bin, wearing a makeshift cone and suffering from an enormous, infected wound on her side. She was depressed, trembling, and lethargic.
Our veterinary team is doing everything they can—cleaning her wound, administering antibiotics, doing daily bandage changes, and keeping her comfortable with pain medication.
But to fully heal, 5-year-old Aubrey needs surgery. Once her infection is under control, our veterinarians can surgically close her wound.
We’re not sure how Aubrey was injured—possibly from an attack by another animal—but what we do know is that she needs your help right now.
Aubrey’s medical treatment is expensive, and we can’t provide the care without your support.
The Animal Foundation’s CARE Fund helps animals with emergency and extraordinary medical needs. It exists only through private donations. When you become a CAREgiver, your donation will help cover the cost of emergency procedures and specialty surgeries at outside veterinary hospitals.
Will you donate today to help Aubrey heal and find the loving home she deserves?
Every dollar makes a difference.
Thank you for giving Aubrey the second chance she urgently needs.
Aubrey is also in need of a medical foster home. She will need to return to the shelter for one or two more bandage changes, and one more time for surgery. If you’re interested in fostering her, please email foster@animalfoundation.com. Her ID# is A1339353.
