URGENT need for large dog fosters!

The shelter is facing an urgent space crisis.

It’s November, and our kennels are nearly FULL. This time of year usually brings a slowdown, but that’s not happening.

On Friday, November 23 and Saturday, November 24, 250 animals arrived at The Animal Foundation.

We currently have 634 animals on campus and have had to use emergency pop-up kennels to house new arrivals.

Our team is doing everything we can, but we need your help to keep our shelter population at a manageable level and ensure the well-being of our animals and staff.
Here’s how you can make a difference:

ADOPT: There are 317 animals available for adoption. You can browse available and adoptable animals here.
FOSTER: Bring home a foster dog (35+ lbs, 6 months+) through Thanksgiving. Even a short break from the shelter helps a dog decompress.

Fostering is FREE! We provide all the supplies you’ll need.

We have extended foster pick-up days at the shelter’s foster window:
Tuesday, Nov 26: 11 AM – 5 PM
Wednesday, Nov 27: 11 AM – 5 PM
