June 14, 2024 | 11:00 am - 7:00 pm

We had to share these photos to show how bad our space situation is at the shelter.

Our kennels are nearly full. We’re using emergency pop-up kennels because we are out of room for new dogs coming to the shelter.

Since the beginning of June, we’ve taken in 989 animals - 68% of those are strays!

Yesterday alone, we took in 167 animals.

Our situation is critical, and we need your help NOW.

We MUST keep our shelter population at a manageable level to ensure the well-being of our animals and our team.

Join us for a foster event this FRIDAY, June 14, from 11 AM - 7 PM. No appointment needed.

Foster a medium or large dog for 2-4 weeks to give them a break from the noisy shelter. Even a short time away from the shelter helps a dog decompress - and it doesn’t cause any extra stress when they come back!

We provide everything you need, and fostering is FREE!

Fill out our foster application before you arrive

Many dogs are scared or stressed in the shelter environment, and a foster home can help them blossom. Plus, fostering allows us to learn more about their personalities and behaviors, making it easier to find their perfect homes.

If you end up falling in love with your foster dog and want to make it permanent, we will waive the dog’s adoption fee.

If you can’t make it on Friday, you can come to the foster window in our adoption lobby daily from 11 to 7 to foster a dog. Our team has a list of dogs who are ready to go home with you. We’re closed to the public on Mondays.

You can see all of our adoptable animals here

Currently, we have 571 dogs, 216 cats, and 66 other animals in our shelter, totaling 853 animals.

We urgently need fosters and adopters for medium and large dogs. We're open today until 7pm.

Here’s how else you can help:

If you find a healthy and friendly dog, try to find their owner before bringing them to the shelter. They likely have a home nearby and a family waiting for them to return.

We always need volunteers! Learn more here

We have an emergency Amazon Wishlist. These are the items needed most right now.

We also need crates, collars, leashes, and linen donations, especially small blankets, sheets and towels.

Reclaim your lost pet. If your lost pet is with us at The Animal Foundation and you’re unable to afford reclaim fees, we are willing to work with you. Our goal is to reunite pets with their families whenever possible.

Donate. Any small amount helps
