Hi, my name is SOPHIE

Meeting Sophie is a must! This happy, spunky girl still has plenty of pep in her step, no matter her age. She’s already spayed and ready to go home—where she can show off her many happy faces guaranteed to make you smile.

Here at the shelter, Sophie is listed as a potty dog which means she waits to go outside to do her business and is likely housebroken. She knows the sit command and absolutely loves treats—so much that she makes the cutest little “gremlin” sound when she’s excited for one. She’s also known by a couple of adorable nicknames, like “Chunky Monkey” and “House Hippo,” all given with love.

Sophie would make a wonderful walking buddy and is looking for a forever home with a soft bed, a warm heart, and someone to love (and be loved by).

My Special Considerations

Sophie is not adapting well to being in a kennel at the shelter and is displaying signs of kennel distress and anxiety. This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and separation.
