Foster Search
Hi, my name is *IMPALA
Meet Impala – one of our volunteers’ absolute favorites, and it’s easy to see why!
Impala is a neutered, big-hearted boy weighing just under 90 lbs (he’ll look and feel even better after shedding a few pounds on a healthy diet).
He was found as a stray, and it’s heartbreaking to think that he likely once belonged to a family who loved him – because he clearly knows what it means to be someone’s dog.
He knows how to sit, shake, and loves leaning in for hugs and kisses.
Impala absolutely *adores* people.
His love language is all about pets, cuddles, and soaking up every bit of affection he can get.
On his first walk around the shelter, he was so happy to sniff around and greet everyone – even leaning in for pets from a little girl we met along the way. But when it was time to return to his kennel, Impala put on the brakes and didn’t want to go back in. It’s clear he craves the comfort of a loving home more than anything.
His perfect adopter will give him daily walks, help him slim down with a healthy routine, and most importantly, shower him with love and attention.
Impala is ready to be your loyal companion, snuggle buddy, and best friend – he just needs someone to give him the second chance he so deserves.
My Special Considerations
*Impala is not adapting well to being in a kennel at the shelter and is displaying signs of kennel distress and anxiety. This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and separation.
