My Special Considerations

Megan is not adapting well to the shelter environment and exhibiting signs of fear and kennel distress. Megan is a very fearful and unsocialized. She was brought in with 3 other dogs with the same fearful behaviors. She is very shut down and not leash trained. She avoids staff when they enter the kennel. Staff has been able to leash and she freezes in place. Megan tolerated all handling from staff. This animal would benefit from a quieter place to adjust and become more comfortable with social and environmental changes.

UPDATE: This animal has shown improvement and is responding to interventions provided. The commitment date has been removed for now however this animal would still benefit from foster, rescue, or adoption.

Additionally, this friend is now being treated for a respiratory infection. They will need oral medications and isolation from other dogs until ~7/8
