Meet Rogelio -- a quiet and gentle soul who’s still finding his footing in the shelter environment.

At 6 years old, he arrived as a stray on April 26, 2025, and we’re just beginning to see glimpses of the sweet, well-mannered dog he truly is.

Though initially timid and a little hesitant to be leashed, this handsome boy quickly showed his soft side. With a bit of patience, he allowed gentle pets—even on his face—and started to relax and trust.

He walks beautifully on leash and carries himself with a calm, composed energy.

Rogelio seems like the kind of dog who will truly blossom in a stable, loving home.

My Special Considerations

Rogelio is not adapting well to the shelter environment and exhibiting signs of fear and kennel distress. This animal would benefit from a quieter place to adjust and become more comfortable with social and environmental changes.

*update: This patient was diagnosed with an infectious respiratory disease and needs to be isolated from other dogs through 5/29/25 while being treated.
