Meet Donner – Your Ultimate Fetch and Walking Buddy!

Donner is all smiles whenever there’s a ball involved! He’s absolutely obsessed with fetch and will happily chase after a ball as long as you’re willing to throw it. It’s the perfect way to tire him out and keep him engaged.

This smart boy already knows how to sit on command and takes treats gently—he’s a quick learner with lots of potential! With a little patience and training, he’s sure to pick up even more tricks.

Donner has a zest for life and is always eager to see what his humans want to do next. Whether it’s a walk, a game, or just hanging out, he’s all in! Even at an estimated 7 years old, he’s full of energy and has enthusiasm for outdoor adventures like walks, and even hikes, and exploring new places. He loves to sniff, take in his surroundings, and enjoy every moment.

While he may seem reactive in his kennel when other dogs pass by, he actually behaves differently outside! On walks, he’s non reactive. In the play yard, he approaches dogs passing by on the other side with curiosity, giving them a friendly sniff through the fence without barking. Shelter life can be stressful, and his kennel behavior doesn’t reflect his true personality!

Donner recently went on a foster field trip and had the best time! From strolling through the park to savoring a pup cup, his tail never stopped wagging. He was also very well-mannered on the field trip. Here's what they had to say about him on his foster field trip:

"Donner was calm and collected in the car and took treats so gently — such a good boy. As we walked around, he had a blast sniffing all the different smells and taking in his surroundings. He’s people-friendly and showed zero reactivity when passing other dogs on our walk, just a total gentleman. We made a stop at the Starbucks by Macy’s where Donner got to enjoy a delicious Pup cup, which he absolutely loved! Once our trip was over, he was quick to settle down and take a peaceful nap on the way back to the shelter. Donner is such a handsome and calm boy. Though he’s a bit older, he’s ready for someone who can give him the love and attention he truly deserves."
