Dr. Seuss is a bit of a big baby. Playful and energetic at about a year old, he may still have the manners of a puppy but he's also gentle and affectionate. He loves getting pets and treats and will stare adoringly into your eyes, begging for your approval.

This gentle giant is sensitive to the emotions and actions of his people. When you're sad, Dr. Seuss will be by your side to comfort you, but he also shies away from gestures that he perceives are negative. He would do best with a family that appreciates this delicate side of his personality and can prove to him that he's safe and in loving hands, using lots of praise and positive reinforcement in his training. He'll reward you with the kind of undying loyalty and companionship that only a dog can give. Dr. Seuss is available for foster or adoption so come meet this special boy today!

My Special Considerations

This dog was diagnosed with an infectious respiratory disease and needs to be isolated from other dogs through 11/22/24 while being treated.

*Dr. Seuss is not adapting well to being in a kennel at the shelter and is displaying signs of kennel distress and anxiety. This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and separation.
