Hi, my name is *EDDIE

Eddie is an adorable chocolate colored love bug looking for a home. This boy is extremely sweet and is not shy when asking for pets and affection!

Eddie enjoys meeting people, going for walks and loves giving hugs.

He is well behaved and aims to please. One look in Eddie’s beautiful eyes and you will melt like a candy bar on a hot day!

Eddie recently went on a Foster Field Trip, here's what they had to say-

"Eddie is a “people dog” 100%! His tail was wagging nonstop, and would turn into a full booty wiggle when we saw another human. He loves giving kisses and he gets extra happy when he gets hugs! You’ll know he’s asking for affection when he comes up and puts his head between your knees, it’s adorable!

He is extremely polite around food! Some dogs might whine, beg, and snap for a chance at human food, but not Eddie! I’ve never met a dog that calm and respectful around a piece of chicken!

I wish the weather was cooler because I can tell he loved being outside! Eddie is very eager to explore and run! I think he would thrive with someone who could spend a little extra time helping him develop some leash skills. He does pull on his leash, and it can be hard to get his attention sometimes.

Eddie is a happy dog who deserves a home with his own humans that can give him lots of love!"

My Special Considerations

Eddie has been in our care since 6/12 and needs a break from shelter life. Eddie is not adapting well to being in a kennel at the shelter and is displaying signs of kennel distress and anxiety. Eddie is happy, silly, and calm but constant kenneling and lack of enough excercise and socialization is taking his toll on his mental health. Eddie is a social butterfly! Eddie walks well on leash. He is looking for a foster or adoptive home to get a break from the shelter. This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and separation.
