Foster Search
Hi, my name is DUTCHESS
Duchess is a sweet and energetic girl looking for a home where she can truly shine. She weighs about 54 lbs, is already spayed, and ready to go home today!
Duchess is a little shy at first and may need a bit of time to warm up, but once she feels safe, her playful and curious personality starts to come through. She loves beef jerky treats and is eager to please—making her a great candidate for training. She gets excited when it’s time to leave her kennel and prefers to lead the way on walks, showing off her adventurous spirit.
Duchess came to the shelter as an owner surrender on July 13, 2025. Her former family shared that she’s easygoing, active, smart, and already knows basic commands. She’s also potty trained and used a doggie door in her previous home.
Shelter life has been a bit overwhelming for this young girl—she’s feeling stressed out, which can make it hard for her to show her true personality. But in the right home, with time, patience, and plenty of exercise, Duchess is sure to blossom.
She would make a great adventure buddy and would thrive with someone who can give her the mental and physical stimulation she craves.

My Special Considerations
Dutchess is not adapting well to being in a kennel at the shelter and is displaying signs of kennel distress and anxiety. This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and separation.
