My Special Considerations

Mia is not adapting well to the shelter environment and exhibiting signs of fear and kennel distress. Poor Mia is very depressed in the shelter setting. She is lying on the floor, sleeping, avoiding staff, and not responsive to treats or attention. On leash, she walks well and explores her environment. She is depressed and shut down in the kennels. This animal would benefit from a quieter place to adjust and become more comfortable with social and environmental changes.
