Meet Dylan – a young, energetic boy who’s ready for a fresh start! At about 2 years old and weighing 60 lbs, Dylan is full of life and loves to play. He’ll happily chase a squeaky toy or a ball—though returning them is optional in his book!

Dylan enjoys treats, but he prefers to savor them in the comfort of his kennel. While he gets a bit stressed being in a kennel, he’s much happier in the company of his people. He was excited to head outside but easy to leash once he knew he was going for an adventure. He loves affection and is currently attending playgroups at the shelter.

This sweet boy would thrive with an active family who can give him the enrichment, patience, and training he needs to decompress and shine. He’d make an excellent running or hiking buddy and a loyal companion.

My Special Considerations

Dylan is not adapting well to being in a kennel at the shelter and is displaying signs of kennel distress and anxiety. He is jumping on his kennel door, pawing at it and barking when people walk by. He has smears on his kennel door from jumping on it, he will pause and settle for attention, then resumes when people walk away. He comes to playgroup with the fearful dogs and is starting to come out of his shell. This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and separation.
