Meet Otter!

Otter has the sweetest little quirk — she nuzzles face-first into stuffed animals or people, just like a real otter swimming in the water. It’s absolutely adorable and sure to melt your heart.
Though she’s a bit shy and skittish when someone new enters her space, she’s warming up every day. Otter loves being held in laps or arms once she’s comfortable, though she hasn’t quite learned to climb up on her own just yet.
She’s still learning to trust and sometimes hisses when overwhelmed, but it’s happening less and less. Otter is sensitive about her tummy being touched — it’s a little distended, so gentle care is needed there.
This chatty girl doesn’t like being left alone for long and has a charming habit of prancing in place with her front paws when she eats. She also loves to reach up and meet your hand when you pet her, and her expressive face makes it easy to know exactly how she’s feeling.
Her foster is helping her get more comfortable with being picked up and handled, and even starting gentle toothbrush training once she’s ready.
