Hi, my name is *HECTOR
Come and meet Hector, a fun-loving, energetic guy who’s all about the ball!
This 5-year-old, 90-pound sweetheart is ball-motivated, treat-loving, and already knows the sit command. Hector absolutely loves to play fetch and thrives on spending time with people—his happiest moments are outside the kennel, doing what he loves most: running, playing, and being with you.
Life in the shelter has been stressful for Hector; he’s a high-energy boy who needs daily exercise, mental stimulation, and a calm, patient home to help him decompress. But once he’s comfortable, you’ll see just how loyal and fun he can be.
If you can offer Hector the structure, love, and activity he craves, come meet him today! He’s available for adoption, foster, or rescue—and don’t forget to ask about our Foster-to-Adopt or Foster Field Trip programs if you’d like to get to know him first.
My Special Considerations
Hector is not adapting well to being in a kennel at the shelter and is displaying signs of kennel distress and anxiety. He is pacing in his kennel and is standing at the kennel front whining and pawing at his door wanting out. Staff members are able to leash him and take him out. He allows all handling and is treat motivated. Hector also likes to be a lap dog! Hector would benefit decompressing in a loving home away from the loud and stressful shelter environment. This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and separation.
