Come and meet Max, a sweet older boy who's looking for a loving home to spend his golden years!

Max is a little nervous in the shelter. He is stressed in his kennel, but he's ready to open his heart to the right person. This gentle giant responds to his name and comes when called.

He absolutely loves being brushed, and once he trusts you, he'll lean his whole body into you for pets!

Max walks really well on the leash and is a 'potty dog' at the shelter which means he waits to go outside to do his business and is likely housebroken.

Max's previous family shared that he lived with kids and a small dog, and he tends to ignore other dogs.

He's in search of a home that will give him time and patience to decompress, and also help him reach a healthy weight.

Max is a truly sweet dog who would make a great walking buddy during the day and a devoted best friend by your side in the evenings, whether you're watching TV or just relaxing.
