Meet Damu – A Big Softie with a Playful Spirit

At around 4 years old and 69 pounds, Damu is a strong, energetic boy who doesn’t quite know his own size. He can come on a bit strong—especially on leash or when excited—but he settles into a much calmer rhythm with a little time and patience. Damu will thrive with a confident handler who can provide structure and continue guiding him with consistent training.

He’s incredibly affectionate, playful, and expressive—known for his sweet “talking” through little whimpers and cries to let you know how he’s feeling. He knows how to sit, loves people, and enjoys lounging in the sun, watching the world go by.

A recent foster said that he was a wonderful pup! "In foster, I got to go to a doggie pool, run in the backyard, play with toys/balls, and chill out on a king size bed. Three words that describe me are spunky, affectionate and cuddley. I like to play in water, I like outdoor adventures, I'm great in the car, I'm housebroken, I like to run, I know tricks like "sit" and "come", and I'm a cuddlebug! My leash skills are good!"
