Meet Spike – the Chill King of Couch Potatoes!

Spike recently took a little vacation from the shelter and went out on a foster day trip—and honestly? He crushed it. This mellow guy spent the day relaxing in a home like he’d lived there forever. No barking, no chaos—his foster almost forgot he was even there!

He’s sweet as can be, loved getting attention from new human friends, and happily accepted all the pets, head scratches, and belly rubs he could get.

Spike appeared to be potty trained at the foster's home (not a single accident!), loves hamburgers, enjoys being brushed, and rides well in the car. He needed a little help getting in at first, but once inside, he was calm and content.

He walks great on leash, but on hot days, he’s just as happy lounging inside and soaking up the A/C.

Spike is a peaceful, lovable older gentleman who’s ready to be your best companion. Looking for a calm, couch-loving sidekick? Spike’s your guy.

My Special Considerations

This sweet guy has been in our care since 5/23 and would benefit from some time out of the shelter. He is a gentle giant. He is a staff and volunteer favorite due to his gentle disposition and great manners. Come meet him and take him home for the afternoon, the week, or forever! You're sure to fall in love.
