*TREVOR

Hi, my name is *TREVOR

Meet Trevor: A truly good boy looking for someone to take a chance on him

Trevor came to the shelter as a stray, but he clearly knows the comforts of home. In fact, he recently experienced it—briefly adopted into a family with small children and a small resident dog. They said he was a fantastic companion: good with the kids, respectful with their dog, cuddly with his humans, and reliably let them know when he needed to go potty. He fit right in. Unfortunately, Trevor was returned after concerns about recurring ear infections that might require surgery.

Here’s the thing: we just don’t know yet what’s going on with his ears. He hasn’t been fully evaluated, and it’s possible his condition could be managed with medication and ointment. It may not be as severe as noted—but what he really needs is someone willing to find out. Someone who sees the wonderful dog he already is and is willing to give him a shot at healing and happiness.

Trevor is a sweet, affectionate soul who just wants to be by your side. He’s well-mannered, has shown no reactivity to dogs through the play yard fence, and may do well with a calm, compatible canine companion. While he’s starting to show signs of stress in the shelter, once he’s out of his kennel and gets that initial energy out, he begins to relax and walk more comfortably on leash. When he’s sitting and relaxing, you’ll catch him quietly observing the world, soaking it all in with his human at his side.

Trevor is ready to leave the shelter behind for good this time. He’s already shown that he can thrive in a home—with the right care and a bit of patience, he’ll be an absolutely loyal and loving addition to the family. All he needs is a chance.

My Special Considerations

This guy has had chronic ear infections in both of his ears that have caused severe stenosis (narrowing of the ear canals). He would benefit from a consultation with a specialist and possible TECA surgical procedure.

This sweet guy is now being treated for IRD and needs to be seperated from other dogs through 6/24
