Hi, my name is PANTHER
Don't let Panther's age fool you! This energetic "almost-senior" knows that age is just a number and he's got the pep in his step to prove it. He's playful and adventurous and ready to start his new life by your side!
But despite his strong name and sleek black coat, Panther is truly a big baby at heart — affectionate, gentle, and absolutely devoted to his people. He loves spending time with his humans, whether it’s lounging by your side or showing off his skills with basic commands like sit, stay, and come.
He's also a 'potty dog' at the shelter which means he waits to go outside to do his business and is likely housebroken.
Panther lived with other dogs big and small in his previous home and was described as being playful with dogs at the dog park. Just remember: slow introductions and proper integration are essential for a smooth transition when introducing a new shelter dog to your dog at home.
While he’s brave in many ways, Panther does get scared during fireworks and thunderstorms, so he’ll need a loving home where he feels safe and comforted during those moments.
If you're looking for a loyal, tender-hearted companion who just wants to love and be loved, Panther is your guy.
Come meet this sweet big baby — he’s ready to find his forever home!
My Special Considerations
This boy is being treated for suspected pneumonia, but he's not responding to treatment as well as we'd like. He'll need medication and isolation from other dogs through at least 6/17, however he may also need additional veterinary care. He's hoping for transfer placement by 6/15 at 3pm.
