Hi, my name is *PEACHES
"Peaches is ready to add a whole lot of joy and playful energy to your life! This young and active girl is eager to find her forever family. She's already got a smart start with knowing the ""sit"" command, and this bright spark is ready to learn even more with a patient and engaged adopter.
While Peaches might turn her nose up at fancy treats, this makes her a wonderfully ""cheap date"" – she goes crazy for classic pupperoni! You'll have no trouble motivating her with her favorite snack. When it's warm out, get ready for some splashing fun because Peaches absolutely loves playing in the kiddie pool! And if you're up for some action, she's always game for a rousing game of fetch, chasing after that ball with gusto.
Being an active girl, Peaches is looking for a home that can keep up with her! She'll thrive in an active household where she'll receive plenty of opportunities for both mental and physical stimulation.
Continuing her training will be key to helping her become the best dog she can be.
Peaches enjoyed her time in the ""rough and rowdy"" playgroup at the shelter, showing she can have fun with other dogs. However, like many of us, she appreciates thoughtful introductions. New interactions should be handled carefully and gradually to set her up for success and build her confidence.
Come down and meet this adorable girl today! See for yourself what a sweet and fun-loving companion she is. And if you need a little more time to decide if you're the perfect match, be sure to ask us about our Foster field trip, Foster, or Foster-to-adopt programs. This could be your chance to get to know Peaches even better!"
My Special Considerations
Peaches is not adapting well to being in a kennel at the shelter and is displaying signs of kennel distress and anxiety. Peaches is struggling severely in the shelter. She is on a specific training plan to help her cope with her anxiety and stress. However, these interventions are no longer benefiting her and she is no longer responding to them. She is a sweet girl, does well in playgroup, and when calm is the biggest love bug. She would make an excellent running and/or hiking buddy. Peaches needs out of the shelter immediately and we know she would thrive outside of the shelter. This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and separation.
