Hi, my name is *JACK JACK
This sweet young boy might be a little nervous in his kennel, but give him a moment to open up, and you'll fall in love!
When our volunteer first met him, he expressed his fear with a bark and a growl. However, with a little patience and with the magic of beef jerky, his curiosity quickly took over! Once they sat calmly by his kennel and offered treats, his fear melted away.
Jack Jack knows "sit" and "lay down," walks nicely on the leash, and isn't bothered by the hustle and commotion of the shelter. What he truly loves is simply hanging out with his person.
If you have a gentle heart and a welcoming home to help this sweet boy feel safe and loved, come meet Jack Jack today! Need more time to decide? Ask about our Foster Field Trip, Foster and Foster-to-Adopt programs.
My Special Considerations
*Jack Jack is not adapting well to being in a kennel at the shelter and is displaying signs of kennel distress and anxiety. *Jack Jack is very stressed in his kennel. He is restless, leaving heavy smears and panting. He is on a intervention plan to help him cope in a shelter setting. *Jack Jack is being persistent in jumping on staff memebers. Staff members are having a difficult time getting him to stop jumping. He wouls benefit in a home to continued his training. This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and separation. This animal needs placement by 6/17 at 3 PM.
UPDATE: This animal has shown some improvements and is beginning to respond to interventions provided. The commitment date is being extended to assess if further improvements will be made with intervention. The commitment date is being extended from 6/15 to 6/17.
