My Special Considerations

Shadow is not adapting well to being in a kennel at the shelter and is displaying signs of kennel distress and anxiety. He is starting to demand bark and lightly pant in his kennel and is attempting to cage fight with his neighbors. Staff is able to break his focus with treats and gets him to settle. Shadow is a sweet boy and once outside of his kennel he warms up to staff and allows all handling. The loud and stressful shelter life isn't doing well for Shadow and he needs time to decompress into a loving home away. This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and separation.
