*HUGO

Hi, my name is *HUGO

Hugo is a sweet, sensitive boy who’s looking for a home that understands his unique personality. Though he’s a big cat physically, he’s still very much a baby at heart. One of his most endearing habits is suckling on the hem of his foster's shirt or pajama pants to as he cuddles up and drifts off to sleep. It’s a charming little ritual that speaks to his need for comfort and connection.

He’s a loud purrer, highly food motivated, and incredibly smart. Hugo thrives on playtime, especially with enrichment toys like balls with balls inside, bouncy squiggly toy wands and laser pointers. He leaps with impressive agility and loves interactive games that challenge his mind and body. He also loves just basking in a nice warm spot or a perch on the window.

Socially, Hugo is more comfortable with other cats than with people. He’s the leader of his litter mates and the first to transition from bottle to bowl, and the first to use the litter box. His siblings followed his lead, and he continues to enjoy play-fighting and bonding with them throughout the day.

Around new people, Hugo can be shy and cautious. He may hiss when nervous, but he has never scratched or bitten — just gentle paw swipes and curious sniffs. He’s not fond of being picked up, and prefers affection on his own terms. His deep, expressive meow is surprisingly mature for his age and often brings a smile to those who hear it.

Ideal Home:
Hugo would do best in a quiet, cat-savvy home with at least one other feline companion. He relies on the presence of other cats for social comfort and enrichment. He needs a patient adopter who respects his boundaries and allows him to initiate affection on his own terms.

Hugo is deeply loved and has been raised in a nurturing environment. We want his future family to know how special he is — a cat with a big heart, a gentle soul, and a playful spirit.
