Hi, my name is MIA
Meet Mia, Our Pretty Piggy Princess!
Say hello to Mia, a 7-year-old sweetheart ready to find her forever home where she can share her endless love and soak up all the affection she craves. This gentle girl may start off shy—her tail tucked and her heart cautious—but with a little encouragement, Mia’s joyful spirit shines through. When Mia’s foster took her out for a day of adventure, she went from nervous to ecstatic the moment she hit the fresh air. At her foster’s home, she reveled in new smells, explored wide-open spaces, and even dipped her paws in the beach-entry pool with curiosity! Mia warmed up beautifully to a bull mastiff buddy, showing her sweet and social side. On a breathtaking hike at Mt. Charleston, she soaked up the exercise, fresh air, and love, proving she’s a wonderful companion for outdoor fun.Car rides aren’t Mia’s favorite, but she finds her calm in the arms of someone she trusts. During her trip, she stayed serene only when her foster held her close, her face nestled for comfort—a testament to how much she thrives on feeling safe and supported. Back in the car, she melted into Rachel’s arms, craving that constant connection for the whole ride home.As an owner surrender, Mia’s had a tough start, but at 7 years young, she’s eager for a fresh chapter. She’s searching for a patient, loving home that will give her the time to blossom and the cuddles she adores. Mia would be the perfect loyal companion for someone ready to offer her all the love she deserves. Could you be Mia’s forever calm in the storm?
My Special Considerations
Mia is not adapting well to the shelter environment and exhibiting signs of fear and kennel distress. She is hiding and avoiding. She is very nervous of new people. With time, she warms up and accepts petting. She spends most of her day laying in her hidey crate and avoiding interaction. She is experiencing fear and stress and is at risk of shutting down and becoming depressed. This animal would benefit from a quieter place to adjust and become more comfortable with social and environmental changes.
