POPS

Hi, my name is POPS

Meet Pops, a true world explorer with a nose for adventure! This curious canine loves nothing more than sniffing and exploring his surroundings, making every walk an exciting journey. Pops is also reliably potty-trained and ready to settle into a comfortable routine.

While he may need some time to decompress and adjust to new environments, his gentle nature shines through. He walks well on leash, eager to lead the way on your shared adventures, and was easily leashed even in his kennel. Pops is searching for a patient and understanding foster or forever home where he can truly blossom and let his unique personality shine.

If you're looking for a loyal companion who loves to explore and discover, come meet Pops today and embark on countless adventures together.

My Special Considerations

Pops is not adapting well to being in a kennel at the shelter and is displaying signs of kennel distress and anxiety. Pops is panting, and causing lots of heavy smears on his kennel glass. He also has evidence of cage fighting with his neighbor and is now starting to cause self injury. Pops has come to playgroup and he is gentle with other dogs here at the shelter. He allows all handling and enjoys walks. This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and separation. This animal needs placement by 4/16 by 3 PM

UPDATE: This animal has shown some improvements and is beginning to respond to interventions provided. The commitment date is being extended to assess if further improvements will be made with intervention. The commitment date is being extended from (4/11) to (4/16).
