Hi, my name is *NANA
Nana came to the shelter as a stray-underweight, with fractured teeth and some medical issues. If you see her in the kennel, your heart may be drawn to her soulful, somewhat sad gaze. But when that leash comes out, Nana's expression lights up and as soon as you get her into the play yard, you'll see her playful, silly personality blossom before your eyes like a butterfly emerging from its cocoon!
Nana loves chasing toys, happily throwing them up in the air or clumsily lumbering after the tennis ball. She also really loves people and will happily lay next you in the warm sun, soaking up the rays and the pets like a sponge. She loves soft snacks and walks very well on the leash, where she's happy to meet new people. Nana would love to finally find herself in a good home surrounded by loving, nurturing people who will give her the life she deserves! She's spayed and available to come home today for foster or adoption.
My Special Considerations
This sweet big girl came into our care with bloody urine, many fractured teeth that may need removal to provide long term comfort, and poor body condition. At this time, her bloody urine appears to have resolved and she is gaining weight like a champ. However, she does appear to have hip dysplasia and degenerative changes in her knees in addition to developing an allergy (that has resulted in notable hairloss) while in foster care. Bloodwork, urinalysis, urine culture and abdominal/pelvic limb radiographs have been taken and can be made available to any interested paw partners.
