Hi, my name is *ZIP
The Animal Foundation Team is getting to know me.
My Special Considerations
This boy's eyelids roll inwards and rub on his eyes, a condition known as entropion. Assessment at a full-service veterinarian is indicated; he may benefit from surgical correction of the eyelids. He has also been exposed to infectious respiratory disease and will need to isolated from other dogs until at least 12/27.
*Zip is not adapting well to being in a kennel at the shelter and is displaying signs of kennel distress and anxiety. He is trying to cage fight with his neighbor and is tracking his feces all over his kennel. Once he is out of the kennel he does allow all handling and even seeks attention. He is also a current playgroup candidate. This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and separation. This animal needs placement by 12/20 3pm.
*Zip has made improvements and is beginning to respond to interventions provided. The commitment date is being extended to assess if further improvements will be made with intervention. He is quiet in kennel, with minimal fecal tracking present in his kennel. He greets appropriately and has a loose body and tail while greeting. Today *Zip has not shows any cage fighting or wall rebounding in his kennel
