Hi, my name is *MITTENS
Mittens will captivate you with her hypnotizing eyes and silly personality!
This sweetheart loves treats and enjoys going for walks and chasing toys. She is extremely friendly and will show off her sit famous sit pretty move if you ask her nicely. A girl this fun and beautiful would be a wonderful addition to a happy home. Adopt or Mittens and she will light up your life!
I'm currently back at the shelter but here is what my foster family has said about me!
"Mittens (Millie) is a sweet, friendly girl who enjoys naps near her people and leisurely strolls on leash. She is housebroken and knows basic commands ("come", "sit", and "shake") and is an eager participant in any training situation involving treats :) We crated her overnight initially; although she wasn't eager to go in the crate, she did so with minimal coaxing and remained there quietly throughout the night. For the past week, she has had full run of the house and is doing great! Millie is friendly with new people (including small kids) and dogs. She has not been around any cats, but she does seem to have a small pray drive (e.g., she gets REALLY excited about birds and bunnies). Overall, she is a super easy and calm dog, with the exception of her ability to scale gates like a stealthy ninja, meaning that her future owner would need to be sure the yard space was fully secure. In the two weeks she has been with us, I haven't heard her bark once.
Millie will make an amazing pet and member of a lucky family!"
If you would like to meet or adopt me, I am at the shelter come see me today!
My Special Considerations
*Mittens is not adapting well to being in a kennel at the shelter and is displaying signs of kennel distress and anxiety. She is very anxious in her kennel. She is tracking blood on the floor and the glass of her kennel. She walks well on the leash and allows all handling. She is also a current playgroup candidate. She loves treats and running around. This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and separation.
