Hi, my name is *SYLVESTER
Meet Sylvester, a good boy with a heart full of joy!
He would make a great companion for walks, and perhaps even hikes.
Sylvester enjoys playing with other dogs during playgroup at the shelter.
He's a completely different dog outside the kennel. In the kennel, he might be a little excitable and also pull on the leash. But once he's gotten a breath of fresh air, you'll see the type of dog he really is.
He'll slow down, sniff around, and take interest in others.
When it comes to treats, he takes them gently, reminding everyone of his sweet disposition.
Sylvester is a 'potty dog' at the shelter which means he waits to go outside to do his business and is likely housebroken.
With his charming personality and loving demeanor, Sylvester is ready to find his forever home and share his happiness with a new family!
My Special Considerations
*Sylvester is not adapting well to being in a kennel at the shelter and is displaying signs of kennel distress and anxiety. He has shown mild resource guarding with other animals but this behavior is manageable. We suggest separating him from other dogs during meal time. He is anxious in his kennel and is pacing, panting, jumping, barking, and tracking his feces. He is a playgroup candidate and enjoys playing with other dogs. This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and separation.
