Hi, my name is *SYLVESTER
Meet Sylvester, a good boy with a heart full of joy!
He would make a great companion for walks, and perhaps even hikes.
Sylvester enjoys playing with other dogs during playgroup at the shelter.
He's a completely different dog outside the kennel. In the kennel, he might be a little excitable and also pull on the leash. But once he's gotten a breath of fresh air, you'll see the type of dog he really is.
He'll slow down, sniff around, and take interest in others.
When it comes to treats, he takes them gently, reminding everyone of his sweet disposition.
Sylvester is a 'potty dog' at the shelter which means he waits to go outside to do his business and is likely housebroken.
With his charming personality and loving demeanor, Sylvester is ready to find his forever home and share his happiness with a new family!
My Special Considerations
Sylvester arrived to the shelter on 8/26/24 and would benefit from going on a foster field trip or short/long term foster placement. He is a sweet, goofy boy who loves going to playgroup at the shelter to play with his doggy friends. He is an intellectual boy, who is eager to learn new skills. He is motivated by both treats and attention and is already well on the way of becoming the best version of himself that he can be.
*Sylvester is not adapting well to being in a kennel at the shelter and is displaying signs of kennel distress and anxiety. He is starting to resist going back into his kennel and is pulling to get out of the kennel. He is strong and pulls on leash but is receptive to training. He is becoming more anxious. This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and separation.
