Hi, my name is HARLEY
The name's Harley.
I'm such a sweet and gentle soul, everyone falls in love with me right away. I know a bunch of commands, and shake hands at the drop of a hat. I have no trouble entertaining myself with a ball, toy, or whatever else is around. I'll toss the toy up in the air for myself over and over again, it's my favorite thing!
I walk nicely on a leash and some of the staff have even used me as a training dog to help teach new volunteers how to walk dogs. I take treats gently and love to go on little adventures. I would do best in a home without cats, I'm just not so sure about them. I've gotten along with other pups during playgroup at the shelter, but I would benefit from slow introductions to other pups.
Stop by the shelter to see me today! I promise you'll fall in love.
My Special Considerations
Harley has been at the shelter since 8/9. Harley is not adapting well to being in a kennel at the shelter and is displaying signs of kennel distress and anxiety. Harley is a sweet gentleman who walks well on leash, enjoys petting and attention, and loves to meet new people! He is selective with cats and requires slow, proper introductions. He has also shown selectivity with dogs and requires slow, proper introductions. He is a playgroup candidate; he seems to prefer dogs his size or larger. This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and separation.
