My Special Considerations

Piglet is exhibiting signs of arousal and anxiety in the shelter environment and having a hard time adapting. In her kennel, she is pacing, heavy panting, whining, demand barking, and jumping. On leash, she becomes distracted often and has a hard time focusing on her handler. She is part of our ACE training program and is picking up new skills, like walking nicely on a leash, waiting at doorways, and sitting on command. Piglet is very cuddly and warms up immediately. Piglet would benefit from an environment with less stimulation and some training to help them cope with over arousing stimuli and anxiety.
