Aoraki is not adapting well to the shelter environment and exhibiting signs of extreme fear. Aoraki is on a journey of healing and trust-building. With time, patience, and compassion, they will learn to become more comfortable but right now, she is hiding, avoiding, hissing and tense. She only allows minimal handling. This animal would benefit from a quieter place to adjust and become more comfortable with social and environmental changes. This animal needs placement by 8/22 at 3pm
