My Special Considerations

Sage is not adapting well to the shelter environment and exhibiting signs of extreme fear. Sage is very stressed here at the shelter. She is very scared. She is hissy, avoidant, growling, and can swat when attempting to be handled at first. With a very slow approach she is able to allow handling. Although these are very fearful behaviors we do believe that she will warm up once she is in a loving home. This animal would benefit from a quieter place to adjust and become more comfortable with social and environmental changes.
