My Special Considerations

Bear is not adapting well to the shelter environment and exhibiting signs of fear and kennel distress. Bear is a very fearful and unsocialized. He was brought in with 3 other dogs with the same fearful behaviors. He would thrash on the leash and tense when handling. When approaching with a softer, gentle demeanor he allows leashing and will walk on his own. He still only tolerates handling from staff but hasn't shown any negative behaviors. This animal would benefit from a quieter place to adjust and become more comfortable with social and environmental changes.

UPDATE: This animal has shown improvement and is responding to interventions provided. The commitment date has been removed for now however this animal would still benefit from foster, rescue, or adoption.
