Hi, my name is CUPID
Get ready to fall in love with Cupid, truly the sweetest dog you'll ever meet! This charming boy adores being with people and is a proven potty dog at the shelter, meaning he likes to wait til he's out of his kennel to do his business. He's incredibly well-behaved on the leash, making walks a joy, and loves to chase and retrieve toys – he'll even bring them right back to you!
Cupid is smart too, already knowing both the "sit" and "give paw" commands, and he's highly motivated by treats. His previous family shared that he's fantastic with kids, lived harmoniously with another big dog and a cat, and was house-trained while roaming freely in their home. He's easygoing, doesn't get overly excited, and simply loves to be part of the family. He's even a bit of a talker, adding to his unique charm!
Cupid is currently looking for a home that will help him reach a healthy weight for his joints, ensuring he can live his best life.
If you're searching for a loving, gentle, and family-friendly companion who will shower you with affection, come meet Cupid today and be prepared to fall head over heels! If you'd like more time to connect, ask us about our foster field trip, foster, and Foster-to-adopt programs.
My Special Considerations
Cupid was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and needs thyroid supplementation twice daily. Regulating his thyroid should help control his weight and reduce pressure on his joints. He was limping shortly after arriving at the shelter and is being kept comfortable on a daily NSAID. He needs a paw partner for further care of his left hindlimbs lameness (ligament tear likely) as well as treatment of thyroid. Looking to place him by 07/01/25 at 3PM.
