Hi, my name is ARES
The Animal Foundation Team is getting to know me.
My Special Considerations
Ares is not adapting well to the shelter environment and exhibiting signs of fear and kennel distress. He is trembling, cowering, and avoiding in his kennel. He lays in a little ball in the middle of the kennel and will not stand to greet team members. When leashed and removed from the kennel, he warms up with time and treats. He requires a slower approach as he is nervous of new people and the scary, stressful shelter setting. This animal would benefit from a quieter place to adjust and become more comfortable with social and environmental changes.
07/04/25- Being treated for possible pneumonia; may need additional veterinary care.
