Sawyer is a curious and playful pup who’s still settling into shelter life after arriving as a stray. When we first leashed him up, he was calm and quiet—taking everything in with thoughtful eyes and a gentle demeanor.

Once outside, Sawyer’s personality started to peek through. He’s a big fan of toys—squeaky ones, balls, stuffies—you name it. Watching him toss them around and happily chew is pure joy. He even tried to engage us in a bit of play, a sweet reminder that there’s a social, fun-loving dog beneath his more independent exterior.

Right now, Sawyer seems more focused on exploring his surroundings than seeking out affection. He’s doing his own thing—sniffing every corner, observing the world, and adjusting to this new chapter. It’s clear he just needs a little time and patience to fully open up. That's totally understandable. Shelter life can be stressful and scary! So many new sights and smells.
