Hi, my name is *BETTY
Meet Betty! This total sweetheart is really struggling in the shelter environment and desperately needs a calm foster or forever home to decompress. Sadly, Betty hasn't shown interest in treats or toys here, but her love for walks shines through! She walks beautifully by your side, often glancing up at her person for reassurance.
Betty is an easy-going gal who would also happily be your couch potato on chill days. What Betty loves most is being out and about with her people, not confined to a kennel. If you have a quiet home and a loving heart, please come meet this sweet girl today! Not ready for forever? Ask about our Foster Field Trip, Foster and Foster-to-Adopt programs – you could be her saving grace!
My Special Considerations
*Betty is not adapting well to being in a kennel at the shelter and is displaying signs of kennel distress and anxiety. She is destroying her kennel seeking a way out, heavy panting and becoming foamy at the mouth due to her anxiety and stress. Staff members are able to leash her up very easily, she is working on her loose leash walking skills. She takes treats but isn't totally treat motivated. She allows all handling. *Betty needs time to decompress into a loving home away from the stressful shelter environment. This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and separation.
Additionally, this friend is now being treated for a respiratory infection and may have developed pneumonia. She is hoping for transfer placement by 5/23 at 3pm.
