Hi, my name is *GASTON
Hello… I’m Gaston.
Yes, I know — I’m a handsome guy. Everyone says so. But beneath this sleek exterior is a heart that’s still learning how to feel safe in a world that can seem a bit overwhelming.
People can be really scary to me. I spend most of my time in my favorite hiding spots where I feel secure and invisible. It’s how I cope with the big, unpredictable world around me. But that doesn’t mean I don’t want a connection. I just need someone willing to wait for me to be ready — on my terms, in my time.
What I need is a quiet home with someone who doesn’t expect me to be a cuddly lap cat right away — or maybe ever. I need patience, understanding, and a place with lots of cozy nooks where I can retreat and feel safe.
If you’re the kind of person who believes that love can be gentle and silent, and that some of the most special bonds are built slowly — I just might be your guy.
My Special Considerations
Gaston is not adapting well to the shelter environment and exhibiting signs of extreme fear. He was surrendered to us with multiple other cats. He is tense in the kennel, but tolerates all handling from staff. Gaston is hissing, low growling, and not engaging with staff. He does allow very slow handling. This animal would benefit from a quieter place to adjust and become more comfortable with social and environmental changes.
