Meet Chance — the heart-melter with the soulful eyes!

It’s hard not to fall in love with Chance the moment you meet him. With his gentle spirit and those beautiful, pleading puppy-dog eyes, he’s the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart before you even realize it.

Chance came to the shelter as a stray, and he’s still a bit on the skinny side, but that hasn’t dimmed his sweet, calm demeanor.

He’s incredibly easy to leash, walks beautifully on a loose leash, and carries himself with a quiet, easygoing energy that makes him a joy to be around. He’s the definition of a chill companion.

When you first meet him, he may look a little sad — but don’t let that fool you. Give him a squeaky tennis ball, and you’ll see his eyes light up. Watching him proudly carry it around, drop it, then pick it up again with new purpose, is a reminder of the happy dog just waiting to come out.

Chance ia also calm while passing other dogs on his walks at the shelter. If you’re looking for a sweet, mellow pup who’s ready to be loved, Chance just might be the one.

My Special Considerations

Being treated for suspected pneumonia. Will need medication through at least 5/28, and may need continued veterinary care if not responding to treatment.
He initially improved with treatment, but is now failing to improve further in our care. We need to place him by 5/28 at 3 PM.
