My Special Considerations

Scruffy is not adapting well to the shelter environment and exhibiting signs of fear and kennel distress. He was avoiding, tense and nervous. He showed defensive behaviors when first removed from the kennel. With time, he placed his head on staff's lap, and allowed petting and handling. He was curious of other staff members and would approach with time. He is nervous and avoiding when leashing. This animal would benefit from a quieter place to adjust and become more comfortable with social and environmental changes.

UPDATE: This animal has shown improvement and is responding to interventions provided. The commitment date has been removed for now however this animal would still benefit from foster, rescue, or adoption.
