*FRED

Hi, my name is *FRED

Meet Fred - A Shy Boy Longing to Blossom in a Calm Home! This gentle boy, Fred, is finding the shelter environment overwhelming and is longing for a quiet and patient home where he can truly feel safe and come out of his shell. If you have a calm heart and a nurturing spirit, Fred might just be waiting for you! Here's what you should know about Fred: Fred is a shy and cautious boy who needs a gentle approach. He is not adapting well to the shelter environment, which is making him fearful. Fred is motivated by treats, which can be a great way to build trust. With time and patience, Fred will slowly start to seek out attention on his own terms. Don't be surprised if you don't see Fred right away in his kennel – he may be seeking comfort and security in his back area. If you're serious about meeting Fred and seeing if you're the right match, please request a meet and greet, or consider taking him on a foster field trip or into foster care. Interestingly, Fred shows positive signs around other dogs, perking up and wagging his tail when they pass by the play yard. He also participates in shelter playgroup. Fred would greatly benefit from the peace and quiet of a foster home where he can decompress and learn to feel secure before finding his forever family. If you have the time, patience, and a calm home environment to offer Fred, you could be the one to help this sweet boy blossom and discover his full potential. Come and take the first step to meet Fred today – he's waiting for a gentle hand to guide him.

My Special Considerations

*Fred is not adapting well to being in a kennel at the shelter and is displaying signs of kennel distress and anxiety. *Fred is beginning to show compulsive behaviors again. He is high jumping in his kennel, he is pacing the front of his kennel continuously. He is a playgroup candidate. This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and separation. This animal needs placement by 4/27 at 3 PM.
